A new way to pay! We can no longer accept university P-Cards at the Post Office counter. Instead, you can purchase stamps, shipping, and supplies with your account and index number.

Other shipping services are available for staff and faculty through our pickup request form.

  • Stamps
    Stamps may be purchased at the Campus Post Office counter. All departmental stamp orders will need an account and index number.
  • First Class Mail
    • Mail delivered in 1–5 business days
    • Our best-priced service for items up to 13 oz
    • Eligible for Delivery Confirmation™services such as Certified Mail®
    • One price for up to 3.5 ounces with commercially priced letters and cards
    • Prices based on shape and weight

    Letters

    • Standard-sized, rectangular envelope stamps start at $0.68.
    • Square, oversized, or unusually shaped envelope stamps start at $1.12.

    Postcards

    • Standard-sized, rectangular postcard stamps start at $0.53.
    • Oversized postcards need letter stamps, which start at $0.68.

    Large Envelopes

    • Large envelopes (flats) start at $1.39.

    Weight, Size, & Shape Requirements

    • Maximum weight for First-Class Mail letters is 3.5 oz; for large First-Class Mail envelopes, the maximum weight is 13 oz.
    • All postcards and envelopes (or flats) must be rectangular, otherwise an additional charge may apply. Additional size restrictions apply depending on the type of mail piece you’re sending.

     

  • Ground Advantage
    • Ship to all 50 states, U.S. military bases, territories, possessions, and Freely Associated States.
    • Primary option for sending hazardous materials (HAZMAT) that can’t go by air.
    • $100 insurance is included (for both outbound and return shipments), and you can purchase up to $5,000 in additional coverage against loss or damage for merchandise.

  • Priority Mail
    • Fast delivery time: 1-3 Business days
    • Free Package Pickup service at your home or office

    • Flat Rate and prepaid pricing (retail only) available

    Priority Mail Express

    • Fastest delivery times: next day to 2 days with a money-back guarantee
    • Sunday and holiday delivery are available in many major markets for an additional fee

  • Media Mail

    Here’s what you can send:

    • Books (at least 8 pages)
    • 16-millimeter or narrower width films
    • Printed music and test materials
    • Video and sound recordings (including tapes, albums, and CDs/DVDs)
    • Playscripts and manuscripts
    • Printed educational reference charts
    • Medical loose-leaf pages and binders
    • Computer-readable media
    • Maximum weight is 70 lbs.

     NOTE: Video games, computer drives, and digital drives do not qualify for Media Mail prices.

  • Certified Mail
    • Certified Mail service provides the sender with a mailing receipt and, upon request, electronic verification that an article was delivered or that a delivery attempt was made.
    • Customers can retrieve the delivery status online.
    • Certified Mail is dispatched and handled in transit as ordinary mail. 
    • No insurance coverage is provided
    • USPS maintains a record of delivery (which includes the addressees, or their agents, signature) for a two-year period. 
    • Shipping starts at $4.40
  • Return Receipt
    • Return receipt service provides a mailer with evidence of delivery (to whom the mail was delivered and date of delivery), and information about the recipient’s actual delivery address.
    • Return receipt is available as an add-on to Certified Mail only.
    • A mailer purchasing a return receipt at the time of mailing may choose to receive the return receipt by mail (Form 3811) or electronically by email.
    • Shipping starts at $3.65 for mail receipts and $2.32 for email receipts.
